Greenhouse gas emissions are the main cause of global warming. EGST is responding to this problem and fulfilling the responsibility of corporate citizenship. In order to meet environmental protection requirements, from 2020 to 2022, the Company conducted a GHGs inventory and went beyond regulatory requirements to carry out a Scope 3 inventory, as well as internal and external audits in 2022. The Xinying Factory's greenhouse gas emissions was 182,086.028 ton CO2e. Later on, the Xinying Factory gradually replaced high-energy-consuming process equipment and improved the energy management system. The Hsinchu Factory's greenhouse gas emissions was 57,522.055 ton CO2e, and has gradually adopted new equipment and skilled manufacturing processes. The Company's total greenhouse gas emissions was 240,269.236 ton CO2e.
